- What are AMVs?: AMVs
are music videos which take japanese animations, otherwise known as "anime,"
and edit them to a piece of music.
- How on earth do you make them?: There are basically two ways; the analogue method
and the digital method. Analogue methods are based on video tape technology.
This can range from a couple of VCRs or, if you have the connections, professional
editing equipment for television production. The digital method is based
on computer technology. It is currently more popular thanks to the
recent upsurge in computing power, ease of use, quality results, and much
lower cost.
- Mr. Skyfire, why are your AMVs
so good?: Well, while this is an understandable question, I find it
difficult to answer. What I can be certain of, however, is that AMV
creators should have faith in the ability to bring their projects as close
as possible to those visions that appear in their frighteningly insane anime
addicted minds. You know who you are.
